I was asked to help lead a sermon series on Creation Care at our church. I started the series discussing the spiritual benefits of nature. Many of my students have heard parts of this message before including quotes or ideas from E.O. Wilson, Richard Louv, Rachel Carson, & John Muir. The take home message: Get outside & experience nature.

Sofia telling me what she learned at nature preschool about maple syrup & maple trees. Here she's demonstrating branching patterns of maples & non-maples. I think I have a new way to teach opposite vs alternative.
I also need to ask her teachers what happens when they come across an ash tree or a dogwood. |
